Ottawa and Montreal Staff Bring Holiday Cheer
In December 2007, 11 Ottawa employees acted as Santa’s helpers at a Salvation Army Toy Centre. The charity’s annual Toy Mountain event allows community members to donate new toys for parents in need to give to their children for Christmas. The LexisNexis group arrived one morning carrying bags of toys contributed by themselves and their colleagues, and spent the rest of the day filling toy orders as well as sorting and bagging toys.
Nine Montreal staff members volunteered at a December 2007 holiday event organized by La Maison d’entraide Saint-Paul et Émard, a community grocery store and food distribution service. The event allowed low‑income households to buy holiday groceries at affordable prices. Some employees helped at the event; others cooked food in advance.
