Sales Operations Analyst

Summary: We are seeking an Operations Analyst for our Sales Department. Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, you will support the sales team by providing strategic market research analysis of revenue, expenses and customer information. As well, you will liaise and support other teams in other departments such as, but not limited to, Finance, Marketing, Pricing and Fulfillment, and Billing to ensure that the data relied upon is accurate and consistently used.
Responsibilities: You will:
- Develop and deliver key reporting and analytical support initiatives to the sales organization, and highlight key findings and offer valuable insights
- Gather and interpret sales information, and conduct data analysis and identify critical business trends, issues and opportunities
- Ensure data integrity/quality to provide consistency in data and reporting
- Partner with Sales management to identify report anomalies, and engage in basic research from multiple sources for the purpose of identifying cause-and-effect relationships
- Identify and maintain a set of standard reports needed to assess the progress of the business
- Monitor and track key performance drivers such as activity, contests and other incentives
- Support the development and implementation of sales compensation plans
- Administer and become the subject matter expert in the Sales CRM system
- Prepare client and other ad hoc reports as requested
- Assist with data, reporting and presentations for various sales meetings
- Interact with other departments on a daily basis
Qualifications:
- 3 years’ proven unsupervised financial, business or market analysis experience, preferably supporting a sales organization
- Bachelor’s degree in business or computers, or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent PC and software skills including the Microsoft® tools (Excel® and PowerPoint®) and ability to learn new systems
- Salesforce.com, ACT! or Bookmaster experience (asset)
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Bilingualism (asset)
