Human Resources Coordinator

Location: Markham
Summary: We have an immediate opening in our Human Resources Department, reporting to the Director, Human Resources. You will provide support and guidance for a complete range of HR activities while demonstrating the highest level of integrity and confidentiality in order to build and maintain relationships with staff.
Responsibilities: You will provide first-line support to managers and employees in the following areas:
- Benefit administration including liaising with benefit providers and employees
- Front-line support for all LexisNexis Canada benefit offerings
- Assist in the recruitment process
- Assist in the coordination of the orientation process
- Participate on the Health and Safety Committee
- Provide guidance on policies and procedures
- Participate in and coordinate ongoing HR initiatives
Qualifications:
- College diploma or university degree
- Human Resources Professional designation (CHRP) — in progress
- Minimum of 4 years of HR experience — including some specialist and/or generalist experience
- Previous experience in compensation and benefits (asset)
- Thorough knowledge of employment standards and legislation
- Proficiency in computer applications — Microsoft® Office and experience working in the PeopleSoft HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and the ADP payroll system
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
